On May 17, 1012 I had another engagement from the Speaker’s Bureau of the Alzheimer’s Association. I did the annual training for the home health professionals and nurses at St. Anthony’s Hospice. This was a group of 65 professionals who needed to complete their required, annual inservice. An additional group will view the video of the event to complete their state requirements, as well. Though this was an inservice, we tried to make it fun. The Alzheimer’s Association did a great job providing me with printed slides which we used as a handout for the presentation. This should provide the attendees with an additional resource for their excellent work with older adults and their families battling dementia. Theirs is a difficult job, for sure, but the Alzheimer’s Association is a much needed ally in their work.
